Chicken /Beef Meatballs with Hoisin Dipping Sauce

Serves 2

Ingredients

 

  • 200g minced chicken/beef

  • 100g onion, finely chopped

  • 20g breadcrumbs

  • 1 tsp freshly grated ginger

  • 1 Tbsp vegetable oil

  • Oil for frying

Method

 

  1. Heat 1 Tbsp oil in a small pan, add the onion and cook over a medium heat until just softened. Cool a little, then add the minced chicken with the Hoisin Sauce, breadcrumbs and ginger. Mix well, then shape into balls and set aside.
     

  2. Heat enough oil to deep-fry and when hot, carefully lower chicken balls into the oil and cook until golden and crisp.
     

  3. Serve with extra Hoisin Sauce.
